Immanuel Church has been strengthening and improving on the cell group system by organizing more opportunities of serving and providing guidelines to the groups. There are in total 6 cell groups now. Each week the cell groups take turns in cleaning and serving in the fellowship time besides the regular grace-sharing after service. The fellowship time becomes even more gracious as each cell grows in their bond with one another.
One cell group leader, Sylvie Han, shared that "Thanks for the church to offer members to serve church with small things but it makes us closer to church. The more we are closer to church, we love our church more. My cell group members were so thankful for church providing lunch and extra Bible study. Since the atmosphere were settled, we could gather at one table and share about our week and the message we listened."
Immanuel ministers pray that through utilizing the cell group system more vibrancy can be added to the Church and enrich believers' life and as a result, the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:47)
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:42-47)
