On March 11th the Sunday service of Immanuel Church, members celebrated the resurrection of the Lord with Dr. de Vries and God added 7 newcomers to the Church, including one brother, Tony, who has been to Immanuel before and came back once again. Ministers thank God for His faithfulness in answering their prayer and continually pray for the mission revival of the city.
Dr. de Vries gave the message from Deuteronomy 30:19-20 to help the congregants to appreciate the Gospel story even more from the final sermon of Moses. "In Deuteronomy 29 and 30, Moses summarized the essential values before his departure to Israelites: ...Choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life (Deuteronomy 30:19-20 )"
"Jesus Christ is the Life," said Dr. de Vries, "And after giving his life for us, he chose Life for us by rising again and continues to be God's Presence with us. What Moses told the people in his final sermon, Jesus in fact raised to a much higher level in the Gospel."
AM Internation General Secretary Pastor Alma attended the Church with her family from the Bronx neighborhoods. One Harvard University student joining in Harvard AM Life group also attended the service while visiting New York. An international student from China who just came to NYC for study also joined the Church through YEF connection. Immanuel ministers pray to evangelize and prepare the Church program to welcome more people. May God add to his Church daily those being saved. (Acts 2:47)
