To mark the Pentecost weekend, NY Immanuel Church held a Praise & Prayer night on Friday, May 14. The event was filled with the grace of the Holy Spirit as the attendees gathered to praise the Lord and prayed. More than 50 people joined the event, including 5 newcomers.
Beginning the night, the worship led by the praise team prepared people’s hearts for the abundant grace promised in Christ. The short message reminded people of the importance of gathering on the special occasion to welcome the new work of the Holy Spirit and it was followed by fervent prayers.
Concluding the event, there was a time of testimony where members shared the grace that they received during the night. One of the participants, Isaiah, who played drums in the praise team, shared a graceful story.
In his sharing, he said that the prayer was very powerful and he could feel God’s presence the whole night. He then added how much God loves each and every one who was present that night. Isaiah then thanked God for saving a sinner like him, who is not deserving of His love because he used to be addicted to things that God would not be pleased with. However, Isaiah says that he is now free from the sin and glad to be there praising the Lord with members of Immanuel. He then lastly added how Immanuel Community Church is where people of God, beyond ages and races, gather and praise Him with one heart.
