On May 12th, Immanuel Community Church celebrated Mother’s day. Dr. de Vries delivered the sermon with the title “Seeking Liberation in All the Right Places”.

He said, “On every day we should honor our mothers (and fathers!) as nature itself demands, as well as the fifth of the Lord’s Ten Commandments.  On Mothers’ Day, we add more well-deserved attention and appreciation.  So let us together look again at first mother and the profound seeds of greatness for all women, hidden in plain view in the often misunderstood Bible texts of Genesis 1 and Genesis 3.”
